Global Battery Alliance Program Manager

RBA - Responsible Business Alliance

Remote

Background

The Global Battery Alliance (“GBA”), established in 2017, is a global multi-stakeholder, pre-competitive partnership that seeks to accelerate the scale-up of the battery value chain sustainably. The Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), one of the world's largest industry coalitions dedicated to corporate social responsibility in global supply chains, has been selected as the Service provider to provide staffing to support the development of the GBA.

Additionally, through its position as the Project Management Office (PMO) for the GBA Cobalt Action Partnership (CAP) established in 2020, the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) supports the operationalization of a global multi-stakeholder, pre-competitive partnership that seeks to urgently eliminate child and forced labor from the cobalt value chain, contribute to the sustainable development of communities, and respect the human rights of those affected by the value chain. The RMI is an initiative of the RBA.

This position is a unique leadership opportunity to support the implementation of the GBA and CAP including engagement with key external stakeholders, facilitation and support of the GBA working groups, coordination of technical inputs and consultation on key processes and technical products developed through the partnerships, and overall coordination. This opportunity is well-suited for a dynamic self-starter with experience working on responsible sourcing issues and an interest in facilitating and working in a multi-stakeholder environment. The position will be housed as part of the staff of the Responsible Business Alliance.

This position will report to the GBA Executive Director, with cross-functional support from RBA’s Senior Project Manager and Vice President of Responsible Sourcing.
