As a Director Business Development Automotive you get the opportunity to drive this transformation and make a direct impact on the future of the industry.

Together with your future team of Key Account Managers and Business Developers you are responsible for all short and long-term activities at our customers.

We believe you have a solid background in leadership, business development as well as project management in the automotive industry, maybe at a Tier 1 supplier. You are skilled at selling complex technical solutions and building lasting relationships with both engineering as well as senior management.

You are an inspiring leader that motivates the team and knows to delegate but at the same time loves to be operational. You will, for a foreseeable period of time, be very operational and have several own customer accounts as well.

You will be part of the Automotive Business Unit and work closely with both our Project, Operations and R&D teams. The role reports to our VP Automotive & Foundry.

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • MSc;
  • +10 years of experience, incl leadership, from complex sales and project management, preferably from the Automotive industry;
  • Successful history of working with senior management, purchasing as well as technical teams;
  • Knowledge of battery industry is desirable;
  • Startup and growth company experience is a major advantage.

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills in both technical and business environments;
  • German or Swedish skills are an advantage;
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently;
  • Ability to work in a high profile and often high pressure multi-cultural environment;
  • Thrive working within tight deadlines and excellent at time management;
  • Have plenty of grit, a can-do attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, a great eye for quality, a sense of humor and a curious mind;
  • Is friendly, passionate & purpose driven.
