Your role:

In the role of Vice President Commercial Excellence, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the platforms, tools, and processes that drive marketing and sales force effectiveness and business intelligence. Together with your team you will focus on marketing tools, methodologies, approaches, Customer Intimacy, Sales Incentives and Sales & Marketing Analytics.

  • You will develop, implement and oversee all Commercial Excellence initiatives within the Downstream organization
  • You will ensure that platforms, tools, methodologies & systems provide the support & flexibility needed by the Sales & Marketing stakeholders
  • You will have the ability to drive key business insights through the design of metrics and dashboards to track marketing and sales effectiveness, program efficacy, and ensure the adoption of cross-BU solutions.
  • Providing direction and standardized methodologies for primary (customer) research as well as ensuring strong contribution of secondary (market) research will be one of your key responsibilities. Also providing secondary market research support and decision-making background to Corporate stakeholders
  • Together with the BU Heads you will drive best practice exchange to increase overall lifetime customer value, ensure cross-BU learnings from launches of BU specific initiatives.

Your profile:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s strongly preferred) in Business or a related field
  • You must bring a minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience, including experience working in a matrix environment
  • You have exceptional people management – direct and indirect – and leadership skills and be comfortable working with others at all levels of the organization
  • Strong negotiation and opinion alignment skills, incorporating various strategies and desired outcomes along with the ability to influence all customers (both internal and external) on issues that impact the business will be key attributes to succeed in this role
  • You have a proven track record in improvements in marketing & sales productivity and metrics, with a bias for action and execution, once an aligned approach is developed
  • You bring a strong work ethic and customer-centric mentality
  • You have the ability and desire to travel internationally 30% of the time, assuming no travel restrictions
