What you will do

  • Support the CMT Forward Trading team with market analyses (week ahead to +3 years horizon) for all energy-relevant commodities;
  • Build successful trading strategies and execute them with the traders;
  • Become a member of our market analysis team to shape our model-based asset-backed trading activities and leverage model synergies;
  • Collaborate with skilled data scientists and hydro optimization experts to build innovative trading strategies;
  • Monitor market news and anticipate new regulations affecting European power prices.

What you bring & who you are

  • University degree in Engineering, Mathematics or similar;
  • Several years of experience in a similar environment;
  • Strong knowledge of European power market fundamentals;
  • Programming and data skills (Python, SQL, Power BI is a plus);
  • Curiosity towards new approaches;
  • Highly capable of explaining your ideas and winning traders for your approaches;
  • Excellent communication skills and team player;
  • Pragmatic problem solver with clear business acumen;
  • Ability to work under volatile market conditions;
  • Fluent in English and beneficially in German.
