About Role:

The individual will be a key contributor to the global Clean Technology and Renewables team covering renewable research topics with a special focus on Wind technology – technology trends, project development and financing, market integration, policy and supply chain analysis. The analyst will lead quantitative analyses and research initiatives, develop written reports, and deliver presentations to clients at live and virtual events.

The successful candidate will be keen to apply strong analytical and communication skills to developing a deep understanding of the Clean Technology & Renewables industry, realizing valuable relationships with existing and potential clients, and producing high quality in-depth reports to support the critical business decisions of our customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collect, manage and analyze market data to track and identify market trends in the renewable industry and support IHS Markit research;
  • Create high quality quantitative and quality regional and global market reports analyzing the status and outlook for the renewables industry and wind, in particular;
  • Work with a global and regional technology and renewables teams to co-ordinate viewpoints and align data and forecasts;
  • Develop excellent relationships with companies to better understand their perspectives, views, opinions and needs and incorporate them into IHS Markit research agenda;
  • Write and distribute regular research notes that analyze latest news and developments in the wind industry to both clients and press. Support client requests by providing quick and comprehensive answers to questions about research findings. On-site and by phone presentations are regularly required;
  • Contribute to consulting projects as determined by client business needs, typically working in collaboration with a broader team;
  • Work with our global sales and marketing teams to promote our research, and support client renewals to ensure commercial targets are met;
  • Travel up to 20% may be required for customer-facing related activities, conferences, tradeshows, and internal activities.

About You:

  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, at least 2 years of relevant experience and advanced knowledge of the wind power industry and market;

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to effectively manage projects and product lines;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment working in close alignment with both regional and global teams;
  • Knowledge of MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); experience with databases highly preferred;
  • Good oral and written communication and presentation skills;
  • Organization skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment;
  • Contributes to the research agenda.

Typical Experience:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience of market analysis and/or directly related experience within wind and renewable industry is essential.

Education and Certifications:

  • Relevant University degree (Bachelors or equivalent);
  • Graduate degree with quantitative experience highly desirable.

  • Ability to physically perform general office requirements;
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
