Missions and Responsibilities

WHAT DOES THE ‘LEAD PERFORMANCE MANAGER’ DO?

The LEAD Center is divided into 3 teams : the Performance team, the Operational Excellence team and the Digital & Data Science team.

As LEAD Performance Manager you report directly to the LEAD Center Manager. Your main role is to ensure the LEAD Center (i) plays its role in conducting the performance mindset in the organisation, and (ii) initiates, develops & implements initiatives to reach the highest possible performance level in accordance with management ambitions. You will focus on creating value for ALBI-LI from business and energy leverages.

MISSION AND MAIN ACTIONS

Your mission as part of the LEAD Performance team includes the following:

  • Generate and implement value creation initiatives: you detect and evaluate energy & business optimization opportunities in AL’s industrial gas networks and cogeneration plants. You analyse and select the most valuable initiatives and you are accountable for validating the winning strategy with your manager and implementing the winning strategy and process for execution. You leverage SIO and other analytics with the support of the Digital Team of the LEAD, you coordinate internal expertise, and use project methodology to make it a success.
  • Sales optimization : you proactively leverage on assets stewardship and flexibility to optimize sales contracts and identify associated value creation opportunities beyond standard contractual frame, including “spot sales” and “win-win” approach with customers, interfacing with commercial team to materialize them.
  • Support to Business Developers for the development of future projects. You are their operational interface and you coordinate operational resources/expertise to contribute to smart and creative project development.
  • Your primary scope of focus will be the Hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen networks in Germany.

The location is either Brussels or Dusseldorf

Once you have acquired enough background on the network operations, you are on-call one week in every 6 weeks (approx.) to support Network Pilots in critical situations as per on-call procedure (i.e. 24/7 availability on the phone).

Competencies and Profile

WHAT ARE THE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS?

The candidate should have a solid background in operations and/or energy optimization, with an appetency and mindset for commercial topics. She/he must have a good understanding of operational realities and be comfortable working in an environment mixing various disciplines (technical & operations, business & energy, digital, …).

  • Strong Analytical Skills & result oriented.
  • Creative and ready for ‘new ways’ & challenges.
  • Project driven : strong in building/following action plans, KPI’s, deadlines and gatekeeping.
  • Team player and able to work with multiple interfaces.
  • Bilingual: German and English.
