Hydrogenics (Part of the Cummins Group) are the worldwide leader in designing, manufacturing, building and installing industrial and commercial hydrogen generation solutions (Water electrolysers) and hydrogen fuel cells.

This is an amazing opportunity for a Senior Business Development Specialist to come into a consultative role where you will be working as part of a dynamic team who are pioneering new technology as part of a global organization.

The Role

As a Senior Business Development Specialist you would be focused on the Renewable Hydrogen (Water electrolyser) market creating and delivering new strategies across the EMEA region.

You will need to use a consultative approach to partner with potential customers as a subject matter expert and to demonstrate the many benefits of using Cummins water electrolysis technologies.

Your duties in the role will include:

  • Responsible for supporting specific business development initiatives and tactics within a region, market, customer, or product segment.
  • Developing, managing, and maintaining business relationships with potential accounts supporting the organization's sales strategy.
  • Supporting profitable growth or new business opportunities for new market segments.
  • Developing leads and proposals.
  • Collaborating with marketing and strategy counterparts to identify attractive market segments, lines of business, or product lines to pursue.
  • Mentoring, motivating, and developing less experienced sales and account team staff.
  • Determining appropriate market accounts and creates account plans for targeted accounts.
  • Developing new product/business forecasts through utilization of Cummins tools and processes (i.e. common sales cycle, Customer Relationship Management Systems).
  • Supporting/executing Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) initiatives as needed.
  • Supporting cross business unit account development and strategy.
  • Leading, managing and coordinating communication and interfaces with the customer at appropriate levels.
  • Assuring good communication and coordination between account management, field sales, upstream influencers, sales management, inside sales and sales analysts to attain the goals of the sales strategy and culture.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Master Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a STEM/Business related subject.
  • Good understanding of the overall energy landscape (Power, Oil & Gas and Renewables).
  • English speaking and writing. Any additional languages will also be a strong asset.
  • Proven experience in a consultative Business Development/Sales Engineering role.
