Trading Settlements Team Lead

If you join our Settlements team, you will:

  • Manage & lead a team handling a portfolio of 3rd parties for settlement of trades;
  • Provide leadership and guidance, helping the team to handle priorities;
  • Be responsible for all operation of the team, first go-to person and escalation point;
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of Settlements activities in the team within area of responsibility, which include:
    • Generate customer invoices and supporting documentation;
    • Settle all 3rd party and transactions per contractual terms;
    • Ensuring funds are received and paid on time; cooperate with counterparties in case of any discrepancies; provide thorough explanations for any outstanding balances;
    • Provide details of projected cash flows to enable treasury team to manage daily and weekly cash requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with IST commercial teams, including leaders in the organization;
  • Monitor aged debt and cash forecasting;
  • Deal with a wide variety of ad-hoc queries;
  • Provide high quality internal and external customer service in order to build and strengthen relationships;
  • Lead and deliver continuous improvement ideas;
  • Pro-actively seek and lead opportunities to standardize, simplify and automate processes to improve performance and efficiency within team scope.

In the Trading Settlements Team Lead role we have the following requirements:

  • Relevant degree;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting;
  • 1-2 years people management experience is preferred;
  • General understanding of Accounts Payable and Receivable settlement principles;
  • SAP experience is an advantage;
  • Developing and delivering Continuous Improvements ideas;
  • Good analytical skills and attention to details;
  • Good problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast paced environment;
  • Good stakeholder management/customer service capabilities;
  • Leading and implementing change management;
  • Team player with ability to handle pressure particularly during busy periods.
