The main purpose of this role is to lead contracting process within East Anglia HUB project from the definition of the contracting strategy to place the contract after leading the tendering process and negotiations with the bidders and managing the contract during the execution phase up to final settlement.
Belonging to the Operations Department and reporting to the Principal Contract Manager you will be responsible for establishing a team of experts to define contracting strategies and plans, tendering, negotiating and managing multi-million offshore delivery contracts.
The Lead Contract Manager would work closely with the supply chain and maintain high level relationships with the major suppliers and contractors. You will ensure that SPR maintains very effective and value adding relationships with the suppliers which will enhance our ability to deliver against our business strategy.
The position may require frequent travel to various locations in the UK and overseas and during development, contracting and delivery of projects (large packages) the individual should be prepared to manage teams working at different project locations.
