An internal promotion has created an outstanding opportunity for an Application Equipment Manager to join our European business team. The position to be based in one of our European locations. The role is to manage the applications equipment team and to ensure all manufactured equipment meets legislative, regulatory and internal Air Products specifications and safety standards. The job holder will also act as the design owner for equipment for CE marking purposes and manage availability and condition of ‘second-hand’ application equipment. Travel within Europe will be required.
To act as Technical Authority/Subject Matter Expert (directly or via reports) controlling the design, manufacture/refurbishment and management of change of applications enabling equipment specific to all Food & Industrial Cryo, Metals & Glass, and Environmental customers.
To act as Regional Design Owner for applications equipment manufactured by Air Products and Competent Person empowered to apply CE marking for use in Europe (including Technical Files and CE Declarations of Conformity).
To manage via reports European Metal & Glass installation projects, including Development of proposals and cost estimates, execution of projects/cost management on time within budget, supervision of installation and commissioning.
To manage the Applications Equipment engineering team including contracted labour prioritising and allocating resource to meet the demands of internal and external customers. Manage the refurbishment programs for application equipment pool assets
To ensure excellent safety, health and environmental performance within the projects area of customer engineering through proactive leadership and commitment to the department’s safety principles.
