Essential Responsibilities:

The role as Oslo SC Manager, Plant Manager will require the management of a team of Operators, planners, buyer, technicians and engineers. The Oslo SC Manager/Plant Manager will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

  • Responsible for leading daily Operations functions to meet business goals
  • Responsible for meeting all established cost, quality, and delivery commitments.
  • Promote a working environment to achieve excellence in productivity, customer service, quality, and EHSDrive initiatives to maximize employee contribution and drive improvements in product quality and services
  • Ensure communication of key business / customer issues to employees
  • Interface with other functions and vendors to assure requirements are met on time
  • Establish and maintain production plan according to customer requirements and available material/capacity
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating and directing all operations and services functions at the facility and external services
  • Ensures all Services support functions at facility are staffed and well trained to perform their duties effectively
  • Lead the effort to develop, implement and execute plans to meet and improve customers’ requirements for product quality, cost and delivery
  • Promote a favorable and productive environment for all employees
  • Responsible for managing the facility within operating budgetOrganizing cycle counts as required by the business
  • Optimize level of inventory in order to keep safety stock without excessive material in inventory


  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Experienced of operations or management, experience Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or MEMS Engineering
  • Preferred experience of leading a multi-discipline team
  • Demonstrate desire and willingness to motivate and coach team
  • Work to deadlines and respond effectively to business requests
  • Strong people and time management skills
  • Produce accurate work under pressure
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred
  • Knowledge of the Subsea / Oil and Gas Industry requirements and practices (API, ASME, Norsok, QA etc)
  • Six Sigma training is preferred (GE employees only)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to drive growth and change in a fast-moving, high-energy environment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulatory
